House 1 BRFN

House 1 Big River First Nation

This campaign raises awareness about housing conditions and pressures governments to live up to their Treaty, moral, and legal responsibilities, in addition to providing homes. This project has provided 3 small homes and is in the process of constructing the fourth home for houseless youth in the community of Big River First Nation. The homes are being constructed through a hands-on learning approach at Nutana Collegiate in Saskatoon, SK and then get delivered to Big River First Nation. Youth from the First Nation have traveled to Saskatoon to help with the construction of the homes, as well as traveled to Montreal to share their culture and experiences at a conference.
