One House Many Nations team will be presenting at the Biennale Architettura 2023 in Venice, Italy between May 17-20th. Dr. Alex Wilson, Lancelot Coar, Shaun Bailey, Jason Surkan, Sylvia McAdam, Jenna McAdam and a few participants from Big River First Nation will be travelling all the way to Venice, Italy to present on the Tiny Homes in Big River First Nation, the Muskrat Hut, and the Universal Utility Core. OHMN has also prepared a well-designed poster to visually contribute to the presentation to show what these builds would likely look like within the northern Manitoba environment.
The Biennale Architettura 2023 will be held from Saturday 20 May to Sunday 26 November (pre-opening 18 and 19 May), curated by academic, educator and best-selling novelist Lesley Lokko, who has commented: “Architects have a unique opportunity to put forward ambitious and creative ideas that help us imagine a more equitable and optimistic future in common”.
